JULY

David S. did all the skiing requirements for the water sports merit badge.
Ben, Matt, and Chris have to show how to fall to miss an obstruction.
Shawn, Cody, and Aaron have to cross the wake 4 times, ski on one ski, coast to a stop, and show how to fall to miss an obstruction.
Everyone needs to print out the water sports work book so we can complete them at our next water skiing meeting in 2 weeks. Each scout should start reading the Water Sports Merit Badge Book available in our scout library or you can purchase your own copy from scoutstuff.org. We will ski again as soon as the boat is running again. I will post time and place as soon as the work on it is done but, certianly we will be skiing by next Monday. Please get going on the merit badge work book if you want the merit badge. Yes, there is always a classroom teaching/learning portion to any merit badge. This is an opportunity to earn the Water Sports Merit Badge and to learn how to water ski, take advantage of it! Even if you are not a good swimmer please come. You will learn a lot and we can even work on swimming technique.
